uni-ball Jetstream Challenge - WHSmith, Aug/Sept 2008 Powergirls provided a team of Promoters wearing uni-ball Jetstream branded sashes to work with the client - Mitsubishi Pencil Company - in an experiential marketing campaign across the UK during August and September 2008.

WHSmith customers were invited to take the "Jetstream Challenge" to test the new smooth writing and smudge free rollerball pen from uni-ball.

Each participant was offered a Half Price voucher which entitles them to purchase any Jetstream product (SX-210 Jetstream, SXN-210 Jetstream RT/Retractable, and SXN-150 Jetstream Sport) from WHSmith at half price.

Greggs the Bakers Promotion - Wales, July 2008 During July 2008, Powergirls provided a team of Promoters to promote the Greggs brand and carry out leafleting in the vicinity of the Greggs shops in the Treforest, Wales area.

The leaflets entitled the customers to special meal deals at Greggs and a free Jam Doughnut upon arrival at the shop!

Greggs has over 1,100 shops throughout the UK and serves over 5 million customers each week. Their products include sandwiches, The Greggs Healthier Options Range, Savouries, Bread and Cakes, Regional products and beverages.

BrotherMax baby products promotion in Boots the Chemists - July 2008

BrotherMax baby products promotion in Boots the Chemists - July 2008 Powergirls carried out a promotion for Brother Max who supply Boots with a range of excellent baby products.

We covered 3 stores: Sheffield, Leeds and Nottingham. Promoters were sent a range of the products to use on their babies in their own homes so that they could speak from personal recommendation. Products were loved by the customers and some great sales were made. The client was very happy with the sales and the overall management of the activity.

The client will be looking at more promotions for 2009 and may need the use of our merchandising team to take in POS and compliance checking.

Johnson & Johnson - July 2008 - Baby Lotion Promotion

Johnson & Johnson - July 2008 - Baby Lotion Promotion Powergirls carried out instore promotions for Johnson & Johnson Baby lotion in 76 Boots stores on July 19th.

Our promoters spent one half of the day in the Baby Department and the other in the "Adult Washing and Baby" to ensure that we approached young mums and adults alike as the product is suitable for both. Customers loved the Johnson & Johnson product as a well known and trusted brand.

The promoters needed to be mums/dads of young children to be able to effectively sell the products. The promotion was a great success with 75 of the 76 stores covered. Sales saw a good increase, in one store it was 13 times the usual sales! Well done to Nicola Turpin. For Highest Sales during the promotion, Nicola, Claire McAteer and Suzanne Tamien won £50 bonus each. Well done ladies!

Venture Portraits Promo, M&S High Wycombe – June 2008 Venture Portraits Marlow is a professional photographers specialising in contemporary family portraiture and are located at 11 Dean Street, Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Visit their website.

The promotion took place in Marks & Spencer's new flagship store in the Eden Centre, High Wycombe. Marks & Spencer customer account holders were entitled to a Venture Experience Voucher worth £145. This voucher entitles the holders and their family to a Session at Venture's state-of-the-art studio in Marlow, a viewing of their best images and a beautifully framed 7" by 5" image of their choice.

Powergirls Promoters worked at a Venture Exhibition stand within Marks & Spencer to promote the Venture Experience voucher and generate leads for the Client. Over 50 M & S customers took up the offer during the four day in-store event in June 2008.

Halfords Store Opening in Braintree, Essex - May 2008 Powergirls provided a team of Entertainment staff for a two day new store launch event in Braintree, Essex.

Customers enjoyed the entertainment with a DJ, face painter and promoters, representing the Halfords brand. They carried out leafleting activity and greeted customers. The promoters had an eye-catching, friendly approach and engaged with customers about the product ranges at Halfords. The Rip Speed Girls chatted with customers and their families and generated a feeling of welcome, excitement and invitation to join in the entertainment.

Halfords sell Sat Navs, in-car technology, bikes, camping equipment and accessories, child seats, travel and touring products, car care and maintenance, car styling and accessories.

Our Promoters wore Prestige branded sashes, make-up belts and the make-up range, to show it off to best effect on their own skin, and offered demonstrations to customers in Boots the Chemist stores. The range has been launched in 50 Debenhams stores. Barratt Homes Leafleting Campaign at 3 London mainline railway stations in April 2008 Barratt West London wished to announce an Open Morning for a new office building for sale or rent in their Axiom development in Feltham. Our Brief at Powergirls was to provide teams of Promoters to hand out invitations to commuters at local mainline railway stations. The campaign took place in the early mornings leading up to the Open Morning on 3rd April 2008. The Promoters wore Barratt Homes branded sashes and actively approached commuters during the busy rush hour period.

Via our Report Forms, the client was able to gauge in advance how many commuters noted an interest in the Event and said they would attend the Open Morning. This campaign was booked through NB Real estate.

In the early part of 2008 we provided Exhibition support staff for the Scholl brand at In-door UK Athletics events in Glasgow, Sheffield and Birmingham. Our Promoters worked with the Client Team to put across the Key Scholl Messages:

  • Over 100 years experience
  • Promoting well-being through the feet!
Our Promoters helped to stock the stand, approached the public offering free Goodie Bags, explained about entering the Free Prize Draw and generated excitement about the Scholl brand.

Our Client was so impressed with the Powergirls Team, they booked more Powergirls to work with them at The Vitality Show, Olympia. The Scholl stand had pride of place at the entry to the Show. Hundreds of Scholl goodie bags could be spotted throughout the Great Hall at Olympia and could be seen at the nearby public transport stations on the arms of the departing Exhibition Visitors.

Our Client described the Powergirls as, 'really brilliant, first class, helpful'. The Client was extremely pleased with the calibre of staff provided. We look forward to working with this prestigious brand again.

BA London Eye - December 2007/January 2008 - Promotions Powergirls has provided a team of Promoters to carry out a leafleting campaign to encourage customers to the BA London Eye. This involves working outside and canvassing the public in areas such as Westminster, Leicester Square and Canary Wharf.

The Promoters and I enjoyed a full induction to the London Eye facility on the first day of the promotion and are delighted to be working with this prestigious client.

The London Eye has 32 capsules which can carry 800 people on a 30 minutes flight/rotation. This incredible sight seeing attraction can be enjoyed with a combined ticket with Madame Tussauds and the London Eye River Cruise which carries 250 passengers. Zavvi - December 2007 - Rebranding Promotion

Zavvi - December 2007 - Rebranding Promotion On Saturday 1st December 2007 Powergirls supported Zavvi (formerly Virgin Megastores) at their two flagship stores in Piccadilly and Oxford Street with a team of 12 Promoters.

The New West End Company (responsible for promoting the West End) had arranged for a vehicle ban in Regent Street and Oxford Street for the afternoon, to allow the local retailers to put on special promotional events in the streets.

The Powergirls team, wearing warm black Zavvi branded fleecies, inflated white balloons – sporting the new green Zavvi logo and store address - with helium and handed them out in the streets, engaging with the public, and joining in the carnival atmosphere. Christmas shopping was well under way and the Zavvi DJ set up on the pavement outside the Regent Street store playing chart music for the enjoyment of the shoppers, tourists and passers-by.

The Event was great fun and Zavvi balloons were carried all over the West End by the public, promoting the stores in the crisp winter sunshine.

Elite Makeup - November 2007 - Makeovers in Superdrug stores

This initially small promotion has gone very well. It was only in one Superdrug store on London's Oxford Street. The Powergirls girls doubled the sales and are now booked every Saturday from now until Christmas! They will also travel on the London to Birmingham train to the Clothes Show with the VIP press.

Madame Tussauds - Summer 2007 - Leafleting Promotions

Madame Tussauds - Summer 2007 - Leafleting Promotions We were delighted to be contacted by Madame Tussauds in London who asked us to provide a team of 10 Powergirls promoters to hand out leaflets during the London Gay Pride Festival. Tussauds had a float at the head of the parade which started in Baker Street.

It was a wet day but the streets were thronged with people taking in the colourful and creative floats. There was a real carnival atmosphere and bonhomie! We split into 5 pairs and handed out leaflets to members of the public along five key areas of the parade route, namely, Baker Street - near Tussauds itself, Trafalgar Square where there was a rally, stage, speeches, music and stalls, Regent Street, Oxford Street and Leicester Square. Over 100,000 people were expected to attend the event. The glossy colour leaflet carried a special promotion code with £8 off the entry fee. The coupons were being redeemed even before the promotion was finished!

The client was so pleased, he booked a further team of Powergirls promoters for the following weekend to work at Hyde Park Corner during the Tour de France spectacular.

Gillian McKeith - July 2007 - Promotions '3 Fat Brides - One Slim Dress' TV show. Our Promoter, Olivia, pictured as the radiant 'slim bride' with Dr Gillian McKeith on location at Holland & Barrett in Knightsbridge, London. Our promotional work included promoting the topical television show, customer sampling of the new deliciously nutritious 'Gillian McKeith Cacao Bean Bar' and a book signing event.

Johnson's® in Boots - Summer 2007 - Summer Legs Promotion 'The promotion went well, people really liked the Shower and Shave products. The Holiday Skin is a favourite for regular users of tanning products'.

Powergirls have completed a promotion for Johnson's® Summer Legs - through Boots Stores nationwide. The Johnson's® campaign combined their popular Shower & Shave products with the Holiday Skin tanning product. We covered 97 stores across the UK and Ireland on the 25th May. A Free Standing Display Unit (FSDU) was set up in store containing both ranges of products under the Summer Legs campaign banner.

The feedback from our demonstrators told us that the promotion had been well received from their point of view. Customers were 'really willing to try' and the overall feeling was that the promotion definitely prompted customers to try and buy.

These conclusions were backed up by the perception of the Boots stores staff who commented on the amount of products sold, how well the products were presented and the positive appearance of the Point Of Sale (POS). In fact in some stores the stock was almost sold out due to the popularity of this one day promotion!

Another successful Powergirls promotion with Johnson's® and Boots. We will be promoting in Boots stores nationwide again very soon!
